Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives, including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of large-scale data projects.
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning and the modernization of the application landscape.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with peers and managers to optimize distributed systems and ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Implement modern data platforms using automated code-generation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
• Perform thorough peer code reviews to maintain high engineering excellence and code quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, Iceberg, and Hive.
• Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Strong SQL development and tuning skills.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Ab Initio, Informatica, DataStage) and orchestration tools (e.g., Autosys, Airflow).
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Teradata.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dremio or other virtualization/federation tools.
• Proven track record supporting and optimizing large enterprise-scale data environments and Lakehouse architectures.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, and LLM adoption, including RAG architectures and vector stores.
• Familiarity with data governance, security frameworks, and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
