Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives and design scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot
• Drive the adoption of Generative AI and LLM technologies, including prompt engineering and agentic systems
• Design, code, test, and document projects following Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs while ensuring compliance with security and data governance standards
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and risk partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to less experienced engineering staff
• Conduct code reviews and champion modern DevSecOps and CI/CD practices

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and RESTful service development
• Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and Oracle JDBC
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI, LLM-driven workflows, and prompt design
• Proficiency with Gradle, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-model LLM strategies (e.g., Gemini, Claude)
• Understanding of model risk, explainability, and validation in regulated environments
• Exposure to event streaming (Kafka), cloud-native patterns, and DevSecOps
• Experience in the Mortgage domain (origination, underwriting, or servicing)
• Experience using GenAI developer tools such as Copilot or Devin
