Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives, design, code, test, and document large-scale software projects within the payments domain
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning and technical domain upgrades
• Resolve complex technical challenges through in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Collaborate with peers and mid-level managers to achieve technical goals and resolve issues
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced staff
• Act as an escalation point for projects and drive engineering solution development

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Expertise in Java and the Spring framework (including Spring Boot)
• Strong experience in designing and building microservices and web services
• Proficiency in front-end development using ReactJS, Angular, or NodeJS
• Experience with MongoDB and relational databases such as Oracle or MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of messaging services like Kafka or Solace
• Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, or PCF/OCP
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the payments domain with knowledge of Wires/SWIFT and ISO 20022
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch and caching solutions like Redis, Ignite, or Coherence
• Experience with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or LLM-based test generation
• Proficiency with CI/CD technologies including Jenkins, GitHub, and Sonar
• Cloud migration experience or relevant Azure/GCP certifications
