Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning
• Review and evaluate complex technical challenges, technologies, and procedures
• Resolve technical issues and lead teams to meet client needs while adhering to compliance requirements
• Collaborate with peers and mid-level managers to achieve technical goals
• Act as an escalation point and provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java with deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, and multi-threaded development
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data)
• Expertise in ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA
• Experience building and consuming Webservices and RESTful APIs
• Proven ability to design and develop Microservices architectures
• Working knowledge of Kafka for event streaming and distributed messaging
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployment processes
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
