Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives and design, code, test, debug, and document scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning and system architecture discussions.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and act as an escalation point for technical issues.
• Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to less experienced engineering staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and product teams, to achieve project goals.
• Ensure all applications meet strict security, compliance, and enterprise standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and the delivery of new features and fixes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java (versions 8, 11, or 17) and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
• Hands-on experience with databases including MongoDB, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of design patterns, clean coding practices, and code quality standards.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Experience using AI tools with prompt engineering.
