Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Go and modern API frameworks like Gin, Echo, or Fiber within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Build and operate core components of a Journey Builder and workflow orchestration platform.
• Develop execution models for stateful, long-running workflows, including branching, retries, fan-out, and recovery.
• Design routing, decision, and event-correlation algorithms with strong correctness and idempotency guarantees.
• Build event-driven asynchronous pipelines using systems such as Apache Kafka, Amazon SQS, or Amazon SNS.
• Manage workflow state and execution history using PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Own backend services end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and production incident resolution on AWS.

Requirements

• 9+ years of backend engineering experience building production-grade systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design.
• Experience building workflow engines, orchestration layers, rule engines, or state machines.
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous processing, retries, deduplication, and failure recovery.
• Strong data modeling skills using SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or Redis).
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and modern CI/CD and containerization practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale messaging or conversational platforms.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native services.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, observability, and production reliability engineering.
