Senior Software Engineer V - Java

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of large-scale, business-critical systems and platform components.
• Define architecture patterns, coding standards, and technical guidelines for engineering teams.
• Lead technical grooming sessions, system reviews, and cross-team engineering discussions.
• Mentor senior engineers (L3/L4) to uplift technical capability across the organization.
• Perform deep system debugging, performance engineering, and scalability planning.
• Drive CI/CD, automation, observability, and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Utilize AI tools for architecture exploration, code intelligence, and rapid prototyping.
• Influence the long-term technical roadmap and platform modernization strategy.

Requirements

• 18+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, JSP Servlets, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and API architecture.
• Proven experience in large-scale system design and performance engineering.
• Strong SQL expertise, including optimization and handling high-volume data.
• Practical experience with Azure or AWS for architecture, scaling, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in using AI tools (such as Copilot or ChatGPT) to accelerate engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of caching strategies and API gateways.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, security practices, and observability tools.
• Ability to influence architecture at both the product and platform levels.
