Senior Software Engineer, Tooling and Development Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation frameworks and testing strategies across the entire software stack
• Identify, evaluate, and integrate new tools including code quality and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
• Lead continuous improvement for build, release, and test systems within CI/CD pipelines
• Explore and implement AI tools like OpenAI API for deterministic and non-deterministic testing
• Design and build reusable automated tests and tools to establish team standards
• Partner with System Software, Automation, and Test teams to align testing strategies
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues using system logs and backend processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in automation engineering
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows
• Strong proficiency in developing tools for test automation
• Deep understanding of observability and telemetry
• Good understanding of the complete software development life cycle
• Proficiency in Python or other object-oriented programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Pytest
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk
• Experience with consumer electronics
• Familiarity with machine learning model usage in a product environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration
