Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
• Translate customer requirements into initial software product designs and oversee system integrations.
• Lead the development and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, and interfaces.
• Manage debugging and issue resolution to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
• Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development.
• Establish and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics.
• Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee software project management activities and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• 10+ years of experience programming with C, C++, or Ada.
• 10+ years of experience with software development on Windows or Linux.
• 10+ years of experience leading software development projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with additional years of related experience.
• Experience with scripting languages such as XML, Perl, and Python.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
• Experience with use case development.
