Senior Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Build and support in-house software testing infrastructure, including hardware testbed capabilities and simulated test scenarios
• Break down complex technical goals into detailed and well-explained proposals
• Integrate feedback from client teams to drive iterative improvements to testing tools and procedures
• Expand test coverage by developing novel off-nominal test scenarios
• Work closely with the Simulations team to integrate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns
• Lead by example with reliable estimation and planning
• Mentor Test and Simulation team engineers

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer in a team environment
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Proven ability to deliver reliable software testing infrastructure
• B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of C/C++
• Fluency in statistical analysis
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• Experience testing embedded hardware (robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace)
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud deployment environments
