Senior Software Engineer

STR is a growing technology company specializing in advanced research and development for defense, intelligence, and national security. We focus on cyber, next-generation sensors, radar, sonar, communications, electronic warfare, and artificial intelligence algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test real-time applications featuring open architecture software principles
• Develop code to integrate mature hardware systems
• Collaborate with SMEs to implement advanced algorithms
• Work with test leads to leverage Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) infrastructure
• Support and brief customers throughout the program lifecycle

Requirements

• BS with 5+ years experience or MS with 3+ years experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in modern C++
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python
• Experience with cross-platform development (Windows, Linux, iOS)
• Proficiency in test-driven development and CI/CD practices
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
• 2+ years of experience with open architecture systems (OMS/UCI, A-GRA)
• Experience with radar or EO/IR systems
• Familiarity with real-time algorithm optimization
• Experience with software quality tools such as static/dynamic analysis
