Senior Software Engineer, Storage

Responsibilities

• Build core components of a multi-petabyte cloud storage platform purpose-built for AI and ML workloads
• Contribute to distributed file, block, and object storage products with a focus on filesystem-based solutions
• Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and resilient storage architectures
• Propose and prototype novel strategies to scale performance and system throughput
• Build observability, metrics, and tooling for services and fleet
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex distributed systems problems at scale
• Provide ongoing support for production systems, including performance tuning and incident response
• Collaborate with Software Infrastructure and Product teams

Requirements

• Hands-on proficiency in Go, Java, C/C++, or Rust
• Extensive experience developing multi-tenant, cloud-scale distributed storage infrastructure
• Experience with File (NFS, SMB, Lustre), Object, or Block Storage (NVMe, iSCSI)
• Strong background in high-performance filesystem products, VFS, and Linux filesystems (ext4, XFS, ZFS)
• Proficiency with Linux and its storage subsystems
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, log analysis, and distributed tracing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/HPC storage solutions or petabyte+ scale Object Storage
• Familiarity with networking technologies like RDMA and Infiniband
• Familiarity with modern storage technologies such as GPU Direct Storage, F2FS, or SPDK
• Experience with Nvidia SuperNIC DPUs for storage optimization
• Experience in Storage Virtualization, Orchestration, or distributed metadata management
• Research publications or open-source contributions to storage projects
