Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements through interaction with end users and translate them into actionable functional specifications for development teams.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test case conversion, IT testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Serve as a second line of defense by reviewing proposed solutions and implementation steps to ensure accuracy and compliance before production deployment.
• Support production environments by managing sub-production environments, coordinating deployments, and providing technical support for production issues.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders, program managers, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution and service delivery.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and present detailed reports on plans, problems, and resolutions to management.
• Oversee code deployment and provide weekend support for production moves and system validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or IT within the financial services or asset management sector.
• Deep functional knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and Fidessa Latent Zero products.
• Proficiency in SQL and UNIX commands.
• Strong understanding of the trading life cycle, FIX protocol, and regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience in trading operations, investment oversight, and pre-trade compliance rules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing global teams and external vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with risk management, audit strategies, and business continuity planning.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows.
