Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of Snowflake’s infrastructure and services
• Apply both infrastructure and software engineering to deliver a highly scalable, resilient, and performant platform
• Provide technical leadership on large, complex projects spanning infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation
• Champion platform adoption to meet business goals across partner teams
• Lead and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or platform engineering
• Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or C++
• Daily operational experience with AI-driven software development (Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent)
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Expertise in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Strong distributed-systems troubleshooting and incident resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, especially on the platform side
