Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop orchestration layer and control-plane for large scale databases
• Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP APIs
• Build High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
• Tune Postgres to operate at scale for massive datasets
• Secure and ensure customer data protection

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience designing and building large scale production systems
• Experience building and maintaining distributed, fault tolerant services
• Deep understanding of low level OS concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking, and storage
• Strong fundamental computer science skills
• Proficiency with Java, Python, Ruby, or Go
• Experience running and maintaining large Postgres servers
• Familiarity with cloud networking such as VPCs, PrivateLink, and Peering
• Experience working with remote, geographically distributed teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science
• Expert knowledge of Postgres including WAL, extensions, configuration, and replication
• Experience designing and implementing large systems for public or private clouds
• FedRAMP and DoD deployment experience
