Senior Software Engineer - SDK

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance SDKs across multiple languages including TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Swift, and Rust
• Use AI-assisted development and tooling to scale SDK maintenance and accelerate development cycles
• Own the end-to-end developer experience, improving how engineers integrate with the Amplitude platform
• Optimize SDKs for critical metrics such as latency, performance, bundle size, and resource load
• Create external-facing agents that leverage signals collected by the SDKs
• Build robust integrations with third-party services and drive high engineering standards

Requirements

• Proven experience building and maintaining SDKs, APIs, or developer platforms
• Experience working across multiple programming language ecosystems
• Background in open source library maintainership
• Experience building platform tooling or code generation systems
• A strong interest in developer experience (DX) and developer tooling
