Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the API Gateway solution built on Apigee
• Participate in daily design discussions focused on scalability and implementation best practices
• Create technical solutions, strategies, and detailed deployment patterns for software applications
• Assess business requirements to scope and estimate development tasks
• Collaborate with architects and technical staff to set new engineering standards
• Mentor junior team members and provide peer reviews to ensure high-quality code

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in backend-focused development
• Proficiency with backend stacks such as Java or JavaScript
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with database integration and optimization
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and functional testing
• Proficiency with GIT and build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Experience working within Agile methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API development and understanding of API products
• Knowledge of GCP, Docker, Splunk, or Dynatrace
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, or CheckMarx
• Familiarity with cloud-native containerized architecture, Kubernetes, or Service Mesh
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and basic administration
