Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead code and design reviews while establishing engineering best practices
• Engineer software solutions that meet stakeholder needs while reducing technical debt
• Proactively provide guidance and recommendations for software design
• Participate in merging, integrating, versioning, and promoting code through environments
• Triage and problem-solve production incidents to restore services and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate on work estimation and breakdown to enable small, frequent production releases
• Actively participate in customer and solution discovery sessions

Requirements

• Working experience with IBM tools including FTM, Websphere, ACE, IIB, RSA, MQ, and DB2
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Spring, Node.js, or Python
• Experience with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DB2
• Technical ability to lead discussions and challenge design and strategy
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or certifications with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps tools including Bitbucket, Git, Ansible, and Jenkins
• Experience leveraging Google-based AI tools
