About the role
About the Company
Satomic is building an automated chemistry platform that integrates laboratory robotics, software, and AI to transform small-molecule synthesis and drug discovery. We have raised a $15M Seed to close the gap from idea to molecule.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core platform services, APIs, and the orchestration layer
- Own the data model and systems that track platform-wide synthesis requests
- Build and operate internal tooling for operators, chemists, and engineers
- Manage deployment, instrumentation, and observability for shipped services
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production software
- Proficiency in Python (backend) and TypeScript/React (frontend)
- Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres) and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems (REST/gRPC, message queues)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with laboratory automation, robotics, or scientific data systems
