Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve core systems that review safety detections to determine which events are surfaced to customers
• Improve detection precision by developing intelligent approaches to identifying ambiguous cases and automating triage
• Work at the intersection of backend systems, data, and AI-driven decisioning to improve product quality and review efficiency
• Partner closely with product, design, and AI/ML infrastructure teams to create better model feedback loops
• Own complex projects end-to-end, from technical design through rollout, measurement, and production iteration
• Use modern AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate prototyping, implementation, and debugging

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience, primarily in backend or distributed systems
• Experience on a product engineering team shipping systems that solve real customer problems
• Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals in at least one modern language
• Experience designing and building large-scale, high-throughput systems
• Experience operating in a data-led and data-backed environment
• Ability to connect technical decisions to customer value and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience developing AI-native engineering workflows across the software development lifecycle
• Experience building or operating real-world review systems (human or AI-driven)
• Experience partnering with AI/ML teams and familiarity with classifier-based systems
• Proficiency in backend-oriented languages such as Go or Java
• Experience designing orchestrated pipelines or workflow-based systems (e.g., Temporal)
