Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of backend components for vehicle access software
• Develop APIs for secure data exchange between backend microservices, mobile devices, and embedded systems
• Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security of services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, cloud engineers, and cybersecurity experts
• Partner with mobile device OEMs to integrate software with their platforms
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and conduct code reviews
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize processes for real-world functionality
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and automated tests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on high-performance microservices
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes
• Experience with Cloud HSM environments
• Strong DevOps skills for deploying scalable services on AWS
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CCC Digital Key infrastructure
• Experience with Identity Management Systems
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
