Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture design and manage small engineering teams
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and product release
• Support the testing of features using simulated or physical vehicles and autonomous systems
• Collaborate with management to drive decisions regarding technology and the future development of RCT products

Requirements

• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in a software design role
• Proven experience leading design teams
• Proficiency in developing complex applications using C++ and C
• Strong understanding of contemporary SDLC practices, including version control, CI/CD, and unit testing
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Linux or similar operating systems (ssh, bash)
• Experience with sensing technologies such as LIDAR or machine vision
• Knowledge of communications technologies including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi
• Experience with GNSS/GPS technologies and CAN protocols
• Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Experience working with ARM and Intel-based processors
