Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, high-performance, and secure file transfer products using Modern C++ and Java
• Build and maintain RESTful integrations using JSON and XML
• Enhance web-based UIs using JavaScript, JQuery, and related frameworks
• Implement and optimize support for file transfer protocols including SFTP, FTPS, and HTTP/S
• Design and implement automated unit and integration tests in a “shift-left” testing environment
• Collaborate with architects on system design, feature planning, and code reviews
• Partner with Quality Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver reliable enterprise software
• Work with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure to deploy and scale infrastructure
• Take ownership of assigned modules and mentor junior engineers within an Agile Scrum environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Modern C++ and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
• Proficiency in REST APIs, integration patterns, and JSON/XML data formats
• Proficiency with JavaScript, JQuery, and modern front-end development concepts
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases
• Strong understanding of file transfer and networking protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S)
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS or Azure)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a security-first mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Knowledge of security, encryption, and compliance standards related to data and file transfer
