Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Predictions mobile trading experience end-to-end including market browsing, order placement, and settlement flows
- Architect performant, real-time UI for streaming market data using modern React Native patterns
- Collaborate with backend engineers on gRPC and WebSocket integrations
- Create reusable, well-tested UI components shared across the Gemini mobile app
- Partner with product and design to shape mobile-specific UX for new contract categories
- Scope and implement solutions independently, making informed architecture decisions
- Establish and improve mobile development processes including testing and release quality gates
- Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor other engineers
- Use analytics and experimentation data to inform product and engineering decisions
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years building production mobile applications with React Native
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript
- Deep understanding of React Native internals including bridging and native modules
- Experience building real-time, data-intensive UIs
- Strong UX/UI sensibility
- Expertise in unit and integration testing for mobile
- Comfort working in a regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial or trading applications
- Familiarity with Expo, EAS, and OTA update strategies
- Experience with native module authoring in Swift or Kotlin
- Exposure to gRPC or WebSockets
- Experience with performance analysis tooling like Flipper or React DevTools
- Prior work at a fintech or exchange environment
