Senior Software Engineer - Platform Security

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and long-term evolution of large-scale security services
• Own complex, cross-cutting initiatives spanning authentication, authorization, identity, and secure access
• Make and influence architectural decisions balancing security, reliability, and scalability
• Drive high-quality engineering practices including testing, observability, and incident response
• Build and maintain shared libraries and frameworks to standardize security best practices
• Partner with engineers, SREs, and stakeholders to deliver secure-by-default platforms
• Mentor and guide other engineers through code reviews and technical leadership
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for security-critical systems
• Shape future-looking initiatives including AI-driven security posture systems

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a high-scale environment
• Experience with infrastructure as code
• Professional experience building production systems using C#, Java, C++, or similar
• Proven experience designing and delivering distributed systems at scale
• Experience deploying services using automated deployment pipelines
• Deep understanding of system reliability and observability
• Experience leading technical design and influencing architecture
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Lead experience
• Experience designing or operating IAM systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
• Background in security engineering or SRE
• Interest in applying automation or AI to security resilience
