Senior Software Engineer — Platform Security

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and long-term evolution of large-scale security services, including authentication, authorization, and identity systems.
• Own complex, cross-cutting initiatives and make architectural decisions that balance security, reliability, and scalability.
• Drive high-quality engineering practices, including testing, observability, operational readiness, and incident response.
• Build and maintain shared libraries and frameworks to standardize security best practices across the company.
• Mentor and guide other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical leadership.
• Partner with engineers, SREs, and stakeholders to deliver secure-by-default platforms across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a high-scale environment with a focus on infrastructure-as-code.
• Significant professional experience building and operating production systems using object-oriented languages (C#, Java, C++, or similar).
• Proven track record of designing and delivering distributed systems at scale.
• Deep understanding of system reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Experience leading technical design and influencing architecture across multiple teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or operating Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), or hybrid infrastructure at scale.
• Background in security engineering or site reliability engineering (SRE).
• Interest in applying automation or AI to improve security posture and resilience.
