Senior Software Engineer - Performance

Responsibilities

• Identify performance limitations across the stack using telemetry, customer signals, and competitive benchmarks
• Set performance expectations and targets for cross-cutting software efforts and releases
• Analyze performance characteristics of compute instances, storage layers, and cloud services
• Partner with engineers to root cause and mitigate performance problems in production and POCs
• Develop performance benchmarks and conduct competitive analysis

Requirements

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience in performance analysis and root cause identification
• Experience in software development, preferably with large scale distributed systems
• Ability to measure and document the impact of performance features and regressions
• Strong relationship-building skills to facilitate triaging with developers and field engineers
