Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop modern front-end web technologies and high-performance user experiences
• Perform API development using Kotlin and/or Python
• Provide technical strategy and guidance to evolve the platform
• Write maintainable, scalable, and testable code for microservices
• Conduct empathetic peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Drive architecture meetings, design docs, and manage cross-team dependencies
• Partner with stakeholders to identify technical trade-offs and product decisions
• Support team members through pair programming and technical discussions

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience in system architecture, design patterns, and scaling
• Experience querying and writing to PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, DevOps, and SRE principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with subscription-based models
• Experience with AWS or GCP managed cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and backend-for-frontend patterns
• Experience in e-commerce, financial services, or payment operations
• Experience migrating monolithic systems to microservices
• Knowledge of TDD, DDD, and Event Sourcing
• Experience with internationalization and localization
