Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement micro-services from initial design through to production
• Take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features, including development, maintenance, and testing strategy
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining high standards of code quality
• Work within a small, cross-functional team to drive product growth
• Research and suggest new technologies to boost product capabilities
• Influence system architecture and development practices through important technical decisions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Java backend development
• Profound knowledge of OOP and design patterns
• Extensive experience with server-side technologies such as Java and Spring
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud environments
• Expertise in testing methodologies including Unit-testing, TDD, and mocking
• Proficiency with Relational databases (SQL)
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure or GCP cloud services
• Experience with large-scale SQL or NoSQL databases such as SingleStore or Postgres
• Experience working with Agile Development or Extreme Programming methodologies
