Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the credit risk modelling toolkit
• Partner with modellers to ensure toolkit efficiency and correct usage
• Gather feedback to support future improvements and enhancements
• Engage with stakeholders to understand end-user requirements

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience building and testing Python applications
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and test-driven development
• Solid knowledge of testing principles and pytest
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and pythonic code
• Practical understanding of SOLID principles and common design patterns
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
• Exposure to credit risk analytics or financial risk domains
• Familiarity with the scientific Python stack (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, polars, Matplotlib)
• Experience with PySpark or Big Data technologies
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or reusable Python libraries
