Senior Software Engineer, Motion Planning

Responsibilities

• Implement core functionality surrounding our motion planning service
• Identify, scope, and drive high impact technical projects in robotic manipulation
• Advise leadership on technical decisions and strategy in robotics
• Mentor and advise other engineers on best practices and motion planning concepts

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years working with robotic systems and complex software environments (or PhD + research)
• Proven experience writing motion planning algorithms
• Strong backend development experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic arm manipulation
• Experience with autonomous vehicles or related domains
• Proficiency with ROS and MoveIt2
• Algorithmic focused background
• Familiarity with frontend development
