Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable database systems across cloud and on-premise environments
• Ensure data integrity, security, backups, and high availability through automation and best practices
• Conduct performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and migrations across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support deployments and troubleshoot performance issues
• Monitor and alert systems to proactively manage system health
• Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and document database architecture and standards
• Participate in capacity planning, cost optimization, and disaster recovery strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Consultant
• Experience managing cloud and on-premise database platforms including Aurora PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and DocumentDB
• Expertise in database security, backup, and high availability best practices
• Proficiency in automation, performance tuning, upgrades, and migrations
• Experience with SSRS report development and database documentation
• Strong understanding of DevOps, monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery planning
