Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for defined product areas, contributing across backend, frontend, and data workflows.
• Design and build RESTful APIs using Python on AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Develop and maintain React and TypeScript frontend components for reporting and analytics.
• Implement business logic and data access layers integrated with relational databases and S3.
• Contribute to ETL and data pipeline development.
• Write and maintain automated tests and ensure code quality through CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Support and mentor Software Engineers within the squad.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong Python backend expertise using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and boto3.
• Solid experience building and maintaining React and TypeScript frontend applications.
• Proven experience working with AWS serverless architectures in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Experience writing automated tests using pytest, moto, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in implementing AI-powered solutions and understanding AI risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS Glue, Step Functions, or AWS Batch.
• Experience with data pipelines or ETL development in Python.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Curiosity about LLM integration, agentic workflows, or AI-native application patterns.
• Experience working on financial data products or analytics platforms.
