Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core backend services and pipelines for creative ingestion, validation, transformation, rendering, and delivery
• Act as technical lead on medium- to large-scale projects, breaking down requirements into technical designs and execution plans
• Architect and evolve services managing creative metadata, versioning, and policy checks for high availability and low latency
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Ads Infrastructure, and Machine Learning teams to optimize creative asset preparation and scoring
• Build tooling for creative A/B testing, dynamic templates, and performance analytics
• Design reliable creative data pipelines for logging, feature generation, and reporting
• Drive engineering best practices in testing, observability, reliability, and on-call operations
• Mentor and support junior engineers through design guidance and code reviews

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant backend or platform experience
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems or high-throughput services
• Strong system design skills and experience owning complex services end-to-end
• Deep experience with web services/APIs and relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Bigtable, BigQuery)
• Proven experience as a technical lead scoping and delivering projects
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building systems for media processing pipelines (ingestion, transformation, or content moderation)
• Experience with real-time ad serving or recommendation systems
• Familiarity with AdTech and digital advertising
• Hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Kafka, or Beam/Spark
• Experience designing experiment frameworks like A/B tests or multi-armed bandits
• Experience integrating GenAI for creative transformation or automation
