Senior Software Engineer – Mobile Development (iOS)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
• Lead technical iOS architecture decisions and establish best practices for mobile development
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering teams to define requirements
• Integrate iOS applications with APIs, backend services, and City data systems
• Ensure applications meet standards for accessibility, security, and performance
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
• Support agile delivery practices including sprint planning and standups

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
• Strong proficiency in Swift, Xcode, and modern iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine)
• Experience building and deploying applications to the App Store or enterprise distribution
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend services
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Ability to communicate technical decisions to both technical and nontechnical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience
• Proficiency in React Native development
• Knowledge of cross-platform mobile frameworks
• Familiarity with server-side programming like Node.js
• Experience with AWS, containerization, or SQL databases
