Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Compliance

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of regional markets, leading mobile KYC and compliance implementation from requirements to release.
• Build and maintain critical mobile onboarding features such as document verification, facial recognition, and liveness detection.
• Integrate and optimize third-party KYC SDKs and services while managing performance, security, and UX trade-offs.
• Collaborate with regional market leaders, compliance, and legal teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure mobile data flows and user permissions comply with local and international privacy regulations like GDPR and PDPA.
• Influence mobile architecture decisions with a focus on modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
• Apply AI tools and coding assistants to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of native Android development experience, preferably with exposure to secure or compliance-sensitive features.
• Proven ability to independently own and drive technical solutions end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on experience integrating camera, biometric, OCR, or facial recognition SDKs into production apps.
• Proficiency in using AI tools in an engineering workflow to improve productivity and code reliability.
• Deep understanding of mobile platform capabilities, performance tuning, and secure data handling.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks and KYC solution providers such as Jumio, Onfido, or Sumsub.
