Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for distributed storage scenarios
• Drive the identification of dependencies and develop design documents for products, services, or platforms
• Create, implement, optimize, and debug code to improve performance, maintainability, and ROI
• Partner with project managers to drive workgroup project plans, release plans, and work items
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor system health and restore services during interruptions
• Proactively adapt to new technical trends to improve the availability, reliability, and efficiency of Azure Storage

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience
• Proficiency in coding with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 6+ years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of technical engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems
• Expertise in concurrent programming
