Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive projects end-to-end from ideation to production rollout
• Write project design docs and review them with the team
• Develop v0 prototypes for staging and production validation
• Scale services to support significantly higher loads
• Manage infrastructure costs and implement scalability improvements
• Build search capabilities using OpenSearch
• Transform legacy hospital protocols into modern HTTP webhooks
• Utilize LLMs to transform medical notes into structured data
• Review PRs and manage tasks in Linear
• Participate in sprint planning, retros, and daily stand-ups
• Participate in a daily on-call rotation

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with a heavy backend lean
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud-based platforms
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and monitoring
• Located in San Francisco or the Bay Area (or willing to relocate)
• Experience with large-scale data processing is a plus
• Knowledge of healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OpenSearch or LLM integration
• Experience with AWS CDK and cloud infrastructure scaling
• Background in processing and transforming large datasets
