Senior Software Engineer

About the Company

Melius is building the creative canvas for agents. We’re creating a new category of AI-native creative tooling: a collaborative workspace where humans and agents generate, edit, and orchestrate images and videos together.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product across the full stack, from frontend interactions to backend infrastructure and orchestration systems
• Design new tools and capabilities for agents, including canvas visibility and reasoning communication
• Rethink creative interactions with AI through interfaces beyond traditional chat
• Improve agent planning and orchestration loops for autonomous model and workflow selection
• Build infrastructure for long-running, multi-step creative workflows using Temporal
• Develop evals, traces, and internal tooling to measure agent quality
• Work closely with founders, design, and product to define AI-native creative workflows

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production software at high-growth startups or tech companies
• Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend
• Product-minded with strong ownership and autonomy
• Experience building frameworks, tooling, or interfaces for agents
• Strong taste for product quality and interaction design
• Ability to work in-person from the NYC office 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with real-time multiplayer systems
• Experience with AI image/video generation pipelines
• Experience in creative tool software development
