About the role

Responsibilities

  • Apply state-of-the-art ML techniques including deep learning, bandits, transformers, LLMs, and causal inference to content recommendations
  • Run and analyze online A/B tests against critical business KPIs to drive user engagement
  • Collaborate with US-based engineering and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Nurture the ML ecosystem to ensure scalability, developer velocity, and adaptability to future business shifts
  • Help in training and mentoring new team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience applying Machine Learning to concrete problems at large scale
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals and ability to write efficient algorithms
  • Solid understanding of Data Science and ML fundamentals (Regression, Classification, Tree-based approaches, Neural networks, and sequence-based models)
  • Understanding of NLP approaches such as W2V or BERT
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture and big data technologies (streaming architecture, data pipelines, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building Recommender Systems professionally
  • Proficiency with Java, Scala, or Python
  • Experience with big data systems such as Spark, EMR, S3, or AirFlow
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related fields
  • AI literacy and curiosity regarding Generative AI
