Senior Software Engineer

About the Company

Lynk is the inventor of satellite direct to device or D2D technology, and has the world’s only commercial license from the FCC to operate a commercial D2D system. Lynk allows mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of high-reliability, mission-critical software for satellite and ground systems
• Drive the full development lifecycle from technical strategy to implementation and testing
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in software design and OO principles
• Create sophisticated simulation, emulation, and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test environments
• Participate in operations including data analysis, system monitoring, and visualization
• Collaborate in architecture, design, and code reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Expert-level proficiency in an object-oriented language (C++, Python, Java, or C#)
• Deep mastery of OO design principles
• Experience designing and building complex, scalable, and reliable software systems
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and systems design
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Professional experience with C++ and Python
• Experience with multi-threaded applications and stateless services
• Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, or HITL testing
• Experience with Linux-based development environments
• Interest in networking, wireless protocols, or telecommunications (2G/GSM, 4G/LTE)
