Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, including scope estimation, architecture, design, coding, and automated testing.
• Resolve tasks prioritized by the Product Owner and take ownership of system enhancements.
• Break down large tasks into manageable units and provide Level of Effort (LOE) estimations.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to create and document optimal technical designs.
• Act as a Scrum Master to ensure team compliance with Agile processes and facilitate productive Scrum events.
• Resolve development obstacles by working with technical leadership and the Product Owner.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience).
• Proven experience working as a Scrum Master for a technical team.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Django, and SQL/Postgres.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and Linux operating systems.
• Deep understanding of modern software design patterns and Agile/CI/CD methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting languages such as React.
• Knowledge of Client-Server and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectures.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle.
• Specific experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, CloudFormation, RDS).
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification or similar.
