Senior Software Engineer - Java

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of microservices using reactive, non-blocking Java programming.
• Develop and deploy applications to AWS, ensuring high standards of scalability and efficiency.
• Drive the adoption of domain-driven design and AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Utilize technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, and Redis to build robust distributed systems.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional growth and a collaborative environment.
• Participate in API design sessions, code reviews, and the development of technical documentation using Swagger.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in software engineering, specifically building distributed architecture systems.
• Deep expertise in Java programming with a strong focus on hands-on coding.
• Proven experience with messaging-based solutions (Kafka, IBM MQ) and caching solutions (Redis, Gemfire, or similar).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, and test-driven development (TDD/BDD).
• Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and event-based architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with the Spring framework and AWS cloud services.
• Experience working within trading systems and familiarity with the FIX protocol.
• Ability to solve complex, mission-critical problems with a proactive, hands-on approach.
