Senior Software Engineer IV - Java

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of critical modules and cross-team features.
• Create component-level designs, architecture diagrams, and reusable frameworks.
• Write scalable, high-performing, and secure code aligned with industry best practices.
• Drive code reviews and mentor Level 1–3 engineers to uplift overall code quality.
• Plan and execute performance optimization, refactoring, and modernization initiatives.
• Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architects to ensure seamless delivery.
• Influence engineering practices including coding standards, testing, and CI/CD.
• Utilize AI tools for rapid design exploration, code acceleration, and documentation.

Requirements

• 12–18 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, JSP Servlet, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Proven experience in API design and modular architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL queries, query tuning, indexing, and relational database design.
• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS for deployments and cloud-native patterns.
• Skilled in using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI) to accelerate development workflows.
• Strong debugging, performance analysis, and system-level problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud monitoring.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging, or event-driven architectures.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and propose significant architectural improvements.
