Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Own core infrastructure including AWS, PostgreSQL, and Temporal
• Lead database performance, optimization, schema design, and capacity planning
• Drive reliability improvements and identify bottlenecks across the stack
• Manage launch readiness, load testing, and capacity planning for major releases
• Evaluate and integrate infrastructure vendors and observability tools
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Partner Success to scope infrastructure needs
• Maintain compliance standards such as SOC 2 and PCI
• Use AI tools fluently for migrations, runbooks, debugging, and metrics analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production infrastructure at scale
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, replication)
• Strong expertise with AWS services
• High level of AI fluency in development workflows
• Ability to reason about system scaling across orders of magnitude
• Strong vendor evaluation and decision-making skills
• Clear, candid, and constructive communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration engines
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog
• Experience managing compliance (SOC 2, PCI)
