Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Architect the core service backbone to provide a high-availability foundation for all cloud services
• Define the long-term technical strategy and architectural vision for cloud services
• Design and manage globally distributed, multi-region cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code
• Automate infrastructure to enable a self-service model for developers
• Optimize infrastructure for peak performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
• Establish and enforce elite software engineering and DevOps standards
• Lead incident prevention and response through site reliability best practices
• Embed security best practices and compliance guardrails into the infrastructure layer
• Act as a technical bridge between hardware, product, and engineering teams
• Mentor engineers in distributed systems and cloud design patterns

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or Go (Golang)
• Deep experience with relational, document, or time-series databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, InfluxDB)
• Extensive experience with the AWS ecosystem (EKS, S3, SQS, RDS, Cognito, Lambda)
• Advanced mastery of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker
• Strong foundation in Networking, Security, Distributed Compute, and Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Proven technical leadership and ability to mentor junior engineers
