Senior Software Engineer, Infotainment Software

Responsibilities

• Develop best-in-class applications for in-vehicle user experience, focusing on mission-critical user interfaces
• Create progressive, intuitive, and reliable applications for the Rivian in-vehicle experience
• Collaborate with UX/UI and Studio Teams to realize cutting-edge UI and seamless 2D/3D content integration
• Test the in-vehicle experience in the lab and in prototype vehicles
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing
• Drive research into new technologies and interfaces
• Collaborate with other divisions to share technology roadmaps and intellectual property

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the software development life cycle
• 5+ years of experience with C++, Rust, Java, or Kotlin

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Functional Safety requirements and automotive software best practices
• Experience with Android application frameworks
• Experience with Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS)
• Experience with Qt and Qt Safe Renderer in an automotive environment
• Deep understanding of immersive, reactive user interface development
