Senior Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Build and refine critical financial crime prevention infrastructure and scalable detection systems
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects focused on preventing scams and securing customer funds
• Drive both backend (80%) and frontend (20%) development for scam prevention and detection systems
• Improve automation levels to accelerate product growth and enhance security controls
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Investigations teams to articulate and implement technical solutions

Requirements

• Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages and the Spring framework
• Experience building scalable web applications using React, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, concurrent systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design
• Strong commitment to Test Driven Development (TDD) and high code quality standards
• Strong product mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including data pipelines and feature engineering
• Experience deploying machine learning systems into production environments
