Senior Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Harden the event pipeline for production-grade reliability, delivery, and ordering guarantees
• Serve the agent layer by making the dispatch path to agent and CV workflows reliable
• Expose event projections via MCP / agent-facing query interfaces
• Scale ingress and projections using materialized stores (operational hot stores and lakehouse)
• Own observability, including dashboards, alerting, and feature flags

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and operating backend or distributed systems at scale
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or comparable log/streaming systems
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Expertise in reliability and observability (SLOs, metrics, alerting)
• Proficiency in choosing and operating various storage patterns (document, relational, object storage)
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building agent-facing or MCP data-access layers
• Integrating agent or CV runtimes onto an event pipeline
• Experience with stream-processing frameworks like Benthos or Flink
• Knowledge of schema and contract tooling (protobuf, Avro, schema registry)
• Lakehouse producer experience (Iceberg, S3, CDC)
• Experience with MQTT/IoT ingest at scale
