Senior Software Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features across multiple backend applications
• Enhance existing Ruby on Rails backends and build scalable service-driven architectures
• Manage projects and technical problems of significantly larger scopes
• Formulate efficient plans for delivering stable, well-tested features on time
• Make technical recommendations to improve the codebase while minimizing risk
• Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly across technical and product teams
• Contribute to team processes through code reviews and mentorship

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails (experience with Python, Go, PHP, or Java is also acceptable)
• Experience working with e-commerce or web applications
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English
• Familiarity with web service design patterns, technologies, and trade-offs
• Ability to work autonomously and handle increasing levels of responsibility
• Bachelor's degree preferred
